Mustard


When I first put this dress on, my mum's reaction was 'eurgh!' - mustard yellow isn't her cup of tea! However, I personally am a massive fan of the colour, especially as it's so reminiscent of the 60s. I suppose it is different when you remember the era from the first time around, but I'm perfectly happy to embrace the revival - colours and all!

I found the dress on the same retro rail in Cancer Research as the blouse in my previous post - I love the idea that charity shops have now started to recognise the vintage trend. I'm pretty sure the dress is actually supposed to be a jumper, but who am I to turn down the chance to wear something super short! The dress really reminds of of something Twiggy would have worn, and I love the little Mod-style pockets on the front. It was a total bargain at £5!

What do you think of it? And are you a fan of mustard yellow?

    I absolutely love mustard, even though I don't own anything in the colour :/
    I think it would look great as a dress with some heels on a night-out definitely,

    I love mustard yellow. Unfortunatelly it makes me look very pale so I almost never wear it.

    ooh i love that mustard colour! unfortunately, i dont think it suits me with my hair colour, but it looks really good on you with your brown bob! you look wonderfully 60's, as always :) that rail at the charity shop was a great find! xxx

    i adore mustard yellow! i'm dipping a toe in at the moment fashioning a mustard cardi, and have recently bought (in the sale) a mustard t-shire dress - both adorable (but not together!) i think you look fab in this little number, cute & mod! xo

    i love mustard! i had a friend who hated the colour and would bitch loudly whenever i wore my mustard bag..rude pah

    the dress would look great with a bold 60s floral border around the bottom

    I like mustard but in little bits I think or like youve got in your brolly - with brown! :) I love the bottom right most pic, very 60s editorial beacause you completely fill the frame :)

    mustard is my favorite color ever ever. BIAS! I don't know, there's something so rich and regal about it. It gives so much color to my face and makes my face look alive. I would wear it all the time if I could.

    And you look so great in it with your hair color and haircut, I would want you to too. ^_^_^

    that is a bargain, i never find clothes that good in a charity shop hehe, it's always home bits for me. It looks a very pretty dress, all the little line details and mustard yellow.

    I just bought a mustard crochet dress from a charity shop. I LOVE it..... my mum HATES it.... and threatened to burn it. Cheers, Mother Dear!
