Style Icon #1 - Francoise Hardy

I thought I’d share one of my favourite style icons – Francoise Hardy! I suppose she’s kindof like an Alexa Chung from the 60s. I absolutely love everything about her – her clothes, her songs, her hair…

Everything she wore was very chic, very French and very wearable today. I absolutely love the leather jacket she has on in the motorbike picture (which reminds me, I need to start my hunt for the perfect jacket!). I wouldn’t mind that coat either!

Not only was she great in the fashion department, Francoise was also a brilliant singer. Here is a video of my favourite song, ‘Tous les garcons et les filles’.

I’m going to talk about some of my other style icons in the future, so stay tuned!

i just adore Francoise Hardy and it's the most perfect springtime music, don't you think?

Yes, she's beautiful =) But I don't think that the woman in the 1st picture is Francoise Hardy. It's the amazing Jane Birkin with amazing Serge Gainsbourg =)

I've just discovered your blog, which is very nice, congratulations! wish to write to say that yes on the first picture it is Jane Birkin with Serge Gainsbourg of whom I'm a big fan!!!
I read that you have an interest with France and being french I encourage you to listen to him: his great and a big part of french culture, and by the way he wrote songs for the great F Hardy among them the well known: "sous ancun prétexte" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7wIzUOaJ4I
