Vintage Coat

As an end of exam treat, I went carbooting with my friends and we found loads of great bargains! One of the first places we went was a 'fill a bag for £5' stall (a brilliant invention haha). We ended up with a MASSIVE bag of clothes which was very difficult to lug around - but the pain was definitely worth it, because we got some great tops which were all roughly 30p each! It was a very hot day (which unfortunately meant I had very bad hayfever), but we strolled around picking up some lovely clothes in the sunshine.

One such item was this gorgeousgorgeousgorgeous coat that I found. I think I am completely in love with it; the colour, the shape, the style - it's perfection! It's from St Michael (an old M&S brand).

And guess what? The label says it's for Age 7. Obviously, it would fit a 7 year old very differently, but I think the sleeves are perfect at 3/4 length, and the length of the actual coat is ideal for someone who is short like me! Needless to say, the stall owner looked at me strangely when I was trying it on. But I was completely infatuated with it and she let me have it for £2.50! And here it is:

Coat - St Michael
Top - H&M
Skirt - Charity shop
Belt - Vintage
Shoes - Topshop
Bag - Vintage

The skirt is a charity shop find, which I had to take up. I love the colours in it!

P.S. Thankyou ever so much for all your lovely comments! They are really appreciated :)

That car boot sounds amazing! The coat is so, so lovely and I agree, the fit is great. I found something similar which was funnily enough also £2.50 a while back put I decided to leave it because I thought it might have been too tight under the arms. Wish I bought it now! It was so hot yesterday wasn't it?! I got sun burnt wondering around the car boot, and that's certainly a first..

Brilliant find, love that coat. I often buy things at fleamarkets that are ment for kids. Guess kids used to wear lots of oversized clohes. As a small girl, I'm not complainting.

That is one sweet-ass coat. I think the cut may be a little too adorable for me to call it "sweet-ass" but it really is.
