London!

Yesterday, I went to London with my best friend for a shopping trip. It was such an exciting place, with an overhwhelming amount of shops and people! I haven't been to London to shop before, but it definitely is the place to be. It was a swelteringly hot day, which was unfortunate because I was wearing a winter outfit (including my woolen coat...).

I loved all of the vintage bikes which were all over the place!

We spent quite a long time in the Topshop on Oxford Street, which was absolutely brilliant - I couldn't believe how big it was. The bottom floor was full of interesting brands such as Motel and Dahlia, as well as a huge vintage section. I think we needed a whole weekend just dedicated to Topshop! I bought a great pair of jeans and the acid wash tunic that I've had my eye on for a while.

After visiting some more shops on Oxford Street, we wandered to Carnaby Street which was full of independent shops selling nice quirky jewellery, shoes and clothes. Our final stop was Beyond Retro where I tried on a lovely vintage tennis dress. I didn't buy it, but I'm thinking of recreating it with some spare material I have at home!

P.S. Tomorrow I'm off on holiday. I'm going to see if I can find an internet connection to do a post, but if not, I'll be back in a week!

if I want to do a proper shop, I go to London, it's seriously the best place!
If you ever go back I'd check out Camden fo sho and also Brick Lane for some good vintage, such as Rockit
and my little secret store is Salvation Army just off Oxford Street which is where some Vogue editors like to drop in!

Sounds like you had loads of fun... it's true yesterday was pretty hot and it's a hard time to face the basement at Topshop since is soooo hot in there.

Thanks so much for visiting and leaving me a sweet comment I really appreciate.

See you soon.

Ooh it looks like you had a lovely time :)
I absolutely adore your blog, and I'm ever so jealous of all your gorgeous charity shop finds - especially that coat, and for so cheap too! I would definitely have paid much much more for it!
I was wondering whereabouts in England you live? Because the charity shops seem simply incredible there and I was quite interested in having a look-see :)
Also, I'm sorry about posting this as Anonymous, it's just that I haven't got a blog (yet!)

London is an awesome city. I love how you saw something in the retro shop and are thinking about recreating it, that's so cool. I wish I had the patience to make my own clothes :)

Looks like you had a great day shopping. I do love Topshop Oxford St but it's always so busy! Beyond Retro is a really cool shop, there's one in Brick Lane too that is even bigger, and another one called Absolute Vintage also in Brick Lane - check it out next time!

Have a fantastic holiday. Polly x
