Will it be a white Christmas?

I'm pleased to announce that snow has arrived in my part of England! Its only a smattering, but enough to keep me content. Last year, I had horrible tonsillitis throughout the snow 'week' so I'm glad to be able to catch up on my dose of snow this year.

This is the tartan dress I mentioned - made from exactly the same pattern as the floral dress, but with a fuller skirt section. It's the perfect winter dress!

I styled it up with a patent leather belt and a vintage velvet jacket. Needless to say, I was a just a bit cold when I took these photos...

Have you had any snow where you live?

Ah tartan has somewhat of a christmassy feel to it! It's lovely :) I really like your velvet blazer too.
aaand yes! It's snowing like crazy where I live, this is our third day now of heavy snow fall and I'm still as excited-as-a-small-child by it! xxx

That dress is so lovely; I'm always impressed by all the dresses that you make! You look so cute and happy in the snow :)

No snow where I live as it's Northern California and we just don't get any. It's been slightly warm actually and I've been wanting it to get colder!

I also live in NorCal (like the above commenter) so definitely no snow here. Yours looks so pretty!

I think that the black really contrasts with the white snow, I hope it is a white Christmas here in England :) But the snow slowly turns to ice n makes u fall :(

Love the color and texture combination with the gorgeous plaid, and your hair looks so lovely! We've had a slight unusual dusting of flakes and some very warm spots in between.
Enjoy yours!

wow! you constantly amaze me with your dressmaking skills. really.

and it looks like you live in such a lovely place! there is so much snow where i live, and treacherous ice everywhere... obviously i don't wear any sensible clothing at all (heh!) so i'm constantly shivering/slipping/narrowly avoiding death!

Awwh your outfit is always so pretty and sweet :) Omg yaaay for snow, i went to London earlier this year and it was my first time seeing snow, it felt amazing!! Back home we dont get any snow, although there was hailstone after like 10 years, which is almost like a miracle since i live in the middle east.

aww love the dress, tartan print is always christmasy! It snowed for a couple of hours yesterday here in middlesex. Really slippery outside today!

Oh what a perfect dress! I love the sleeves and the colour and the length and well, every thing about it :) Very cute in that floral fabric too.

And the snow... There's lots of it here (I live in Sweden) so I have to wear several layers of tights and stockings when I go outside, and I avoid taking any photos of my outfits outside in the street ^.^

I love the fuller skirt on your dress, what a perfect addition to your original design!
Christmas is always better with snow, even if it's just a light snowfall!
