Since starting my blog, I have teamed up with jewellery maker Fern Martin once a year to host a giveaway for her online shop, The Wellington Boot. This will be the third year that we've hosted the giveaway - how time flies!

This year, Fern is kindly giving away a $15 voucher to be spent in her Etsy Shop!

I'm always happy to help out independent jewellery makers, who always produce goods that are much more unique and far better made than items you can find on the highstreet. The Wellington Boot certainly ticks all the boxes for me - an online shop filled to the brim with quirky little pieces, all at very affordable prices - perfect for Christmas presents too!

Some of you may remember that last December I hosted a giveaway for The Wellington Boot, a charming online jewellery shop filled with quirky delights. Well, as a special treat, Fern, the jewellery designer, is offering another brilliant giveaway!

Fern has now moved her store over to Etsy, and now has 5 pages of beautiful necklaces, earrings and charms for sale. They vary from classic cameos and little brass woodland creatures, to something a little more unusual - that London taxi particularly caught my attention!

A Max C GIVEAWAY!!!!!

As an extra special treat, Max C are offering TWO lucky readers the chance to win the dress and blouse that I posted about recently. Yes - thats two items each!

The bird print dress has been spotted on the likes of Sophie Ellis Bextor and has a very flattering fit, nipped in at the waist and a cute sweetheart neckline. Perfect for a modern take on this season's Mad Men style!

And the blouse is made from delicate chiffon, ideal for tucking into highwaisted skirts, or just over jeans on a lazy day. I'm hoping to wear mine to an office internship!

Brown paper packages tied up with string...

...those are a few of my favourite things :).

Who doesn't love receiving parcels in the post? I woke up the other morning with this delightfully wrapped parcel sitting on the kitchen table. It was from Amy, the writer of The Lonely Teapot :). I won a competition on her blog a while ago, and the prize was this pretty bow brooch and vintage bag. I've actually been on the lookout for a nice brooch for a while now, with the sole intention of pinning it to my orange cardigan - a nice bit of 'granny chic' never goes amiss!

Before opening the parcels I just had to take a photo of them - aren't they beautiful? Inside the box was the bow brooch, pinned to a doily - such a delight to open up! Thanks Amy :D.

I found this Topshop skater dress at a carboot the other week for £1.50. It was SUCH a bargain - I'm pretty sure they're still for sale at full price in the shops!

Apart from school work and revision, I've been indulging in the nice weather recently (taking photos in a cashmere cardigan in this heat was rather uncomfortable!). I went carbooting yesterday, followed by an impromptu trip to the sea side for a picnic. Oh, and I've just sent off a roll of film to be developed - if any of the photos came out, I'll be sure to post them up here!

We’re now in the run up to Christmas and no doubt you’re all busy shopping for presents and putting together Christmas wish lists! Personally, I’m always on the lookout for quirky handmade jewellery – and the beautiful creations in The Wellington Boot online jewellery store definitely fit the bill!

Fern, the jewellery designer, launched The Wellington Boot earlier in 2009 – and since then she has been selling a wide range of hand made jewellery styles, offering an alternative to the mass produced options on the high street. The jewellery contains anything from fabric flowers to vintage brass charms, and from Swarovski crystals to freshwater pearls.

And the best thing is, they’re all at affordable prices, with free postage to anywhere in the UK!

Some of my personal favourites from the shop are this Classic Cameo Necklace, Rose Stud Earrings, and the Choo Choo Necklace (isn’t it adorable!).
